The Philippine Air Force fighter jet goes missing yesterday.The FA-50fihter jet and its crew were missing during an overnight operation near the central city of Cebu. The two- seater jet lost contact with other fighters on the training flight minutes before reaching its target area. The fighters were flown out of Mactan -Benito Ebuen Air Base when shares a runway with he airport in Cebu . The Philippine Air Force (PAF) is conducting an extensive and thorough search and operations, utilizing all available resources lo locate the missing jet fighter .
The Philippines has a squadron of a dozen FA fighters which were acquired through South Korea in the last decade and these will be utilized for a continuous search of the missing jet fighters. It was also learned that it was the first major occurrence involving an FA -50 jet fighter . As of this day , the search continues and the PAF is hopeful that the missing jet will be recovered and and the screws are safe .
