Podcasts for business promotions. Does it really work?

Podcasts haw become very popular nowadays. And so many people have attempted to use podcasts to promote their businesses. Do you think using podcasts to promote a online business really has much effects?

Never really tried podcasts before though but personally i don't think it would work for most businesses.
