It's depressing how corruption scandals keep popping up all over. Leaders betraying the public trust so often is just awful. Honestly, I think corruption is the biggest thing holding us back. It sucks up resources, messes up our institutions, and kills faith in democracy. People want those in charge to be responsible for their actions, but too often, investigations get stuck or turned into political games. For me, fighting corruption isn't just about punishing the people involved; it's about fixing things so being open and honest is the priority. Without trust, democracy just can't work.
