Bola Ahmed Tinubu The President of Nigeria, has been re-elected as ECOWAS chairman for an extra year. This came when he still has plans to reintegrate Niger, Mali and Burkina Faso into the regional bloc.

Leaders and representatives from ECOWAS' 12 member states at the State House Conference made the decision on Sunday, July 7 in Abuja during the 63rd Ordinary Summit.

His first tenure was supposed to concluded on July 9, 2024. In his acceptance speech, President Tinubu said; “I have accepted to continue to deliver on this service with the great men and women on this democratic journey.

I think Tinubu is very much able to lead the team. He had started a good mission and for the sake of completion that l am glad that he had been honoured a second chance to keep the ball rolling. I hope all goes well with the ECOWAS.
Yeah he might just be the person they really need at the helm of affairs for the other countries leadership
