In some countries, the children are punished for the sins of their parents, especially their father. The grown up son or daughter has no professional connection with the father, yet they are punished, their careers destroyed especially if they are not employees. Is this practice widespread in your country?

That's insane. There's no law to execute punishment to a person who doesn't do a crime. If it's the parents who commit the crime they must serve the crime according to the verdict of a prosecutor not an ordinary police or government employee to do the punishment. The children aren't liable why should they be punished. That's human rights violations. Anyone in the family can approach the international courts.

No, it is not practiced here in the Philippines and I do no think it is acceptable. No one has the right to punish children to pay for the sins of their father.
You are so right, it is not practiced in our country and if the kids will be punished, it will be the netizens their enemies. Those illegal punishers will not come out alive huh?
