Russia launches biggest attack on Ukraine since commencement of war

Kyiv has experienced what Ukrainian authorities have described as the most significant assault on the capital since the conflict began.

For the first time, Russian forces reportedly struck the Ukrainian government building in Kyiv. Ukrainian officials have confirmed that the office of the Prime Minister was among the sites hit, as reported by Aftenposten.

Throughout the night, Russia launched a total of 805 drone attacks and 13 missile strikes across Ukraine. More than 20 cities were affected, including Kyiv, Odesa, Kremenchuk, Dnipro, Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia, and Kryvyi Rih.

It is a truly alarming and worrying situation for the entire Ukrainian population. That such massive attacks even reach the government building demonstrates the seriousness of the conflict. Hopefully the international community can act to protect civilians and contain the violence. These types of attacks show how urgent it is to seek a peaceful solution.
