According to the report, Ukrainian forces developed a plan to divert the Russians from Pokrovsk by targeting the remaining pockets of encircled enemies near Dobropillia. With hundreds of drones in the air, the Ukrainians slowly tightened the noose and forced the remaining Russian troops on the ground into mass surrender, Euromaidan Press media outlet says. General Oleksandr Syrskyi has prepared a straightforward plan to divert Russian attention and manpower away from the brutal push south of Pokrovsk and east of Myrnohrad by launching a focused Ukrainian counterattack to the north.

The report also stated that the goal is twofold: to clear the remaining pockets of encircled Russian troops near Dobropillia and to stabilize this sector, freeing Ukrainian forces to strike from the north and pressure Russian formations threatening Pokrovsk to be reallocated. Ukraine has already cleared several of these pockets in full and is now conducting operations to eliminate the rest. According to Syrskyi, the renewed offensive in the Dobropillia direction is designed to stretch Russian reserves thin and force them to defend multiple axes at once, thereby preventing the enemy from concentrating its main forces against Pokrovsk, Euromaidan Press reports.

The Russian soldiers are trapped, so they plan to surrender. With many Russian soldiers choosing to surrender, the Russian command was afraid of a domino effect and a full Ukrainian breakthrough that could cause the entire northern flank to be exposed.

The strategy described in that report strikes me as quite intelligent on the part of the Ukrainian forces. The idea of distracting the Russians through attacks on different fronts, such as in Dobropillia, and thus dividing their resources, is a classic but effective tactic in conflicts of this magnitude. Furthermore, the fact that Russian soldiers are choosing to surrender indicates that the situation on the ground has become untenable for them. The constant pressure and precise coordination of the Ukrainians appear to be paying off, and that is important in a conflict where every move counts. I think this strategy also demonstrates good leadership, as they are not only seeking to gain ground but also trying to prevent a further escalation of direct confrontations, forcing the enemy to defend multiple lines simultaneously. Ultimately, the situation seems to be turning in Ukraine's favor, and that could change the course of the conflict if it continues in this way.

Ukraine has already cleared several of these pockets in full and is now conducting operations to eliminate the rest. The Russian soldiers should surrender rather than die for the sake of Putin, who does not think about the welfare of the soldiers.
