According to the report, the governor of Russia's Belgorod region, Vyacheslav Gladkov, has declared a state of emergency due to escalating Ukrainian shelling. Gladkov said that the situation is "extremely difficult" and that the daily attacks have led to the destruction of homes and civilian casualties.
The report added that the move follows a recent Ukrainian incursion into Russian territory. The governor reported that Belgorod has started evacuating residents, with around 11,000 people relocated and about 1,000 currently in temporary shelters.
As Ukraine continues to invade the 1000 space of Kursk, the people are also in panic leaving their homes for safety. This angers and saddens Putin. He now plans to dislodge the Ukrainian soldiers that occupy in Kursk.
