According to the news, Rwanda was given more the $400 million by the former UK government as part of the controversial Migration Deal. The new British government has scrapped the deal and was hoping to get at least a partial refund.

The news added that Rwanda has set the record straight. It has no intention to return the British money. The migrant housing it built will be going to Rwandan citizens instead.
