Sales staff inflating price to customer? How do you handle that?

There are numerous situations where sales staff would intentionally tell a potential customer an a amount that is more than the normal price that the owner has fixed for that product to be sold.

What would you do to such a sales staff that you discover doing that?

For me l would treat that action as a gross of misconduct and the relevant disciplinary actions should be taken against the staff in question.

This is why some companies have price tag for their products. Try to to put price tag on your products and tell customers not to pay more than that

Because sales staff are employees of a company, if there is a complaint such as inflating price, then we can report it to the business owner, or we can also make it viral on social media, so that customers will go to other products.

You can deduct from their salary as some sort of warning. If after these they still continue, you can take other extreme actions like suspending them or replacing them.

Some sales staff have used this action to chase customers away without the business owners knowing. It is a terrible situation. A sack should be the outright thing when a staff is caught with such.

This is a misconduct. The staff should be warned seriously not to do that again. If no improvement, s(he) should be fired.

I know that sales staff do this. That's why businesses should hire people that are sincere and pay them well to avoid such situations.
