Saudi Arabia will spend $3.2 billion on South Korean air defense systems to increase joint defense efforts. The air defense systems are capable of deterring both aircraft and missiles. Saudi Arabia will use it to knock down missiles that are launched by Houthi rebel groups in Yemen. Last 2017, Saudi Arabia purchased some missiles from Korea, too.
