School Phone Ban: Would it lead to better grades by students?

UK high schools have already banned the usage of phones as instructed by the government. They say that phones serve as a distraction for students. Do you think banning phones in schools would lead to improved grades for students or it would have the opposite effects?

I don't think that banning phones in high schools would do much to curb the falling standards of education.

Though the banning of phones in school might help to some extent but it would not have much effect on the long run.
