Selling spare parts for cars is quite profitable. But some people sell spare parts of a particular brand. For instance, some people just sell Toyota spare parts. Others sell for variety of cars.

Which one is more profitable and suitable for a beginner?
 
I believe it is a good idea to stock a variety of car parts from different brands. This way, you can cater to a wider customer base and potentially increase your earnings, as not all car owners stick to just one brand. Focus on parts that are popular in your country. Hehe
 
I also share the popular thoughts here that variety would be best in selling car spare parts. You would have more customers and establish more business relationships with different importers which you can leverage on later as the business expands.
 
It is very important that you do market research to determine what is better for you. Like most African markets prefer Toyota vehicles more than any other products. It will make more sense for an automobile dealer to specialize in Toyota products in such locality.
 
I think when one decides on the setting up of the business that deals with the car spare parts, they should be stocking every car brands for that matter. With that that it becomes so easier to scale the business highly
