Should a business disclose it's processes to the customers?

Some customers reach out to businesses to enquire about the processes of the business. For some businesses, they find fault with customers demanding to know their processes.

Do you think it is right for a business to disclose it's processes to the customers?

It seems not a good idea to disclose to customers the processes. They might copy them or spread to others hairy tongues and you'l lose.

No I don't think this is necessary. It's not right to expose too much to your customers, to prevent any issues in the future.

I think it is a matter of transparency for a business to disclose it's processes to its staff. It makes them to have trust in the business.

I would disclose some of my processes that a customer should know to them. I won't tell them all my business production strategy.

it is crucial on the part of the business owner if dispose the processes involved in one of his home-made products. There are smart customers and may copy the processes for their personal interest and gain. You may be outsmarted.

I feel is a nice idea a person discloses his business process to his or her customers incase of any arising of anything .

There are business processes that are reasonable for the customers to know. For those ones, you need to disclose it to them if they ask to know.

It all depends on the management. There are also curious customers and giving them insights of the processes lead to trust the company. But if the processes are sensitive, they must not be disclosed.

This is never necessary instead you should show that how to use the products effectively. You would do better with it.

For my kind of business, the client is there as I setup the process. There is no process to really hide in my line of business.

For the sake of transparency, some companies choose to disclose some production processes to customers. I think this is okay. But no company will disclose all their process information to the general public.
