There are some products that we have in our shops that takes about a year to be sold out. If we finally manage to sell them out, does it make sense to restock them again knowing that they always take ages to be sold out.

Would you still restock a product that took you one year to sell out?

If your shop sells a variety of goods and you as the shop owner want to ensure that whatever goods customers are looking for are available in your shop then you need to provide them, even if only in small quantities, but usually goods that take a long time to sell will provide a greater profit compared to basic daily necessities.

Sell the items through buy 1 take 1 and see the people flock and fall 8j line to buy. You can avoid losses.
How do you make a profit when this is literary a giveaway that you are doing with the product. It doesn't make sense to stock what doesn't have a demand.

One of the primary goal of every business is to make profit, if a product is not getting enough sales, it's best to no restock and go for other products with sales.

It is better you have one or two pieces of the slow moving stocks at all times. Customers coming to look for it anytime and finding it increases their confidence.
Yes it is still good to have them in very small quantity for those that need it
