Should an apprentice be allowed to use company equipment to fulfil his or her own personal order?

Sometimes, apprentices master the skill such that they can take orders while still under apprenticeship. Is it right for an apprentice to use the equipment of the company to fulfil an order he or she gets. Remember, they don't remit such orders to the company.
 
If they have their personal clients, and they simply add their own profit to the company price, then I don't think there is anything wrong, as long as the company gets it's part. But if notting goes to the company, then they should not use the company equipment.
