Should families settle their children financially with some bulk money as they turn adults?

Some families settle their children with some considerable bulk sum of money when they turn adults and want to move out and stay alone. My dad gave me that settlement.

Should all families do that to help their children stand financially?

It depends on the family setting and the financial capacities of the parents. I don't think that any well to do parents will deny their biological children such privilege. That's is normal and right thing to do. But in situation where the parents are not well to do, such privilege can be overlooked.

Why not if the money is there it is to first find out if the bulk money is even available. if there's then gifting a child for financial aids isn't a bad idea

Definitely this is how it should be. Parents that are stable financially should settle their children before dying

I don't agree with giving it away to the children. Parents should make sure that their children are already financially equipped and has shown capabilities to be sent out on their own, then that's the sign.

One thing is certain for me . My child would not step out to face the world with nothing. I would provide a financial foundation somehow, be it money or an established business for himself or her to build on.

In our culture, it is natural to inherit your parents' savings, investment, and wealth.

When my children become adults, I expect them to find a job and be financially independent before they move out. I will not give them a bulk sum of money. But in situations when they need help, I will do what I can to help them.
