Should I be worried as a business owner in a situation where staff are absolutely loyal to the manager?

I have also been a manager that commands absolute loyalty. Even when my boss asked, I told him that I can't compete with him. Another thing is to look at the manager and ensure he or she is not power drunk.

I think many of the comments did not capture the subtleties of the question. Well you have to have your fears because management staff doesn't actually have smooth relationships with staff except when there is underground work that is favoring both parties!

If the manager is not a treacherous person, there is absolutely nothing to fear about such a situation. But you must know the manager you are dealing with.
