Some time ago, an acquaintance of mine claimed her father, who is a wedding-events photographer, is losing this and that job cause of the smartphones' cameras. A lot of smartphones, especially the (very expensive) Samsung Galaxy (S-line) and the (even more expensive) i-phones count on great cameras, worthy of a photographer's best tools. So many people could think it's a waste of money to call a photographer in a celebration, as one's smartphone could do the same for free. Any similar experience in your countries?

While with the introduction of cameras on smartphones, it has reduced the rate at which people call in professional photographers, i think it still has a little long way go go before it completely reduces this.

The shots taken by someone that is a professional photographer on a good phone camera can't be compared to one that is snapped by just anyone. It is always different.
This is true, of course. But nowadays, average people in the western countries don't bother with the quality of the service in order to spare money (particularly, a lot of western people hate to pay professionals' fees in any way, as they simply consider it a waste of money). So they prefer the low quality photography service done for free by friends John, Jerry and Jack Does that use the camera of their Motorola instead of paying high fees to a professional photographer who grants a great service...
