SparkCat: Latest Malware

Quoted from the Securelist report by Kaspersky (Feb4, 2025) the latest malware called SparkCat has been found which targets crypto users on smartphones, both Android and iOS, even this SparkCat malware has been infected in official apps such as AppStore and GooglePlay.

SparkCat malware was first found in the ComeCome app which is a Chinese food delivery app that is widely used in the UAE, China, Taiwan and Indonesia. By reading images, SparkCat malware is able to steal seed phrases on crypto wallets that have been installed on smartphones. So if you are a crypto user and store your wallet on your smartphone, don't install apps carelessly.
