A non voluntary organisation is doing an event that is aimed at spurring entrepreneurial spirit in the youths. They have sent a letter to my business to come on board as one of the corporate sponsors. They would in turn help to promote my business on the event red carpet and during the event.

Is it worth it? Do you think sponsoring an event is a great tool for advertising and promoting a business?

It depends on how many people are attending the event, whether it is getting extensive coverage in the local and mainstream media. People usually will notice the sponsors of the event.

Doing this is risky cause there is no guarantee it would attract more sales, but in most cases, it is usually very effective. Just ensure the event is for people who are your target audience.

The company I work for has some events that it sponsors and they make good publicity from that to promote the business.
