Sponsoring an event as business promotion- effective or not?

A non voluntary organisation is doing an event that is aimed at spurring entrepreneurial spirit in the youths. They have sent a letter to my business to come on board as one of the corporate sponsors. They would in turn help to promote my business on the event red carpet and during the event.

Is it worth it? Do you think sponsoring an event is a great tool for advertising and promoting a business?

If the event has a lot of exposure, and they are your target market, you have gained so much from sponsoring that event.

There is a reason business organisations compete among themselves to bid for shirt sponsorship of famous teams. That audience is so big and being out there gives your business exposure.

Yes you just have to know the worth of the event you are sponsoring. Big events would always bring you good money

Doing this is risky cause there is no guarantee it would attract more sales, but in most cases, it is usually very effective. Just ensure the event is for people who are your target audience.

The company I work for has some events that it sponsors and they make good publicity from that to promote the business.
