SSANU and NASU in Nigeria begin strike today

The Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities and the Non-Academic Staff Union of Educational and Associated Institutions, Nigeria are embarking on a seven-day strike starting today Monday, March 18.

A memorandum was issued on Friday, as the strike action is in response to the Nigerian government’s failure of not meeting up with unpaid salaries if its members, as the ultimatum and threat issued by the unions produced no positive reaction
