Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technologies at UKIM announced an ambitious student-led project to design and build Macedonia's first nanosatellite, "Clement-1." The CubeSat, roughly the size of a shoebox, will carry atmospheric sensors and an experimental communication payload.
The project, funded by a mix of university funds and a corporate sponsor, aims for a launch in 2027 via a European Space Agency rideshare program. "This is about inspiring a new generation of engineers and putting Macedonia on the space map," said the project lead professor. Student
