Get a project - any project - and start.

If there is anything you can’t do check it out here on Youtube (e.g. derral eves or techteachernate) and move along. This beats reading books or attending courses because you figure out what you need and get the practical experience in doing it yourself.

I have done this by offering to be the marketing guy for an FX trading site/ youtube channel and - after 20 years in marketing - see it as a huge learning experience.
