The State Duma’s decision to bar reporters from taking photos of parliamentary sessions raises concerns about transparency. Personally, I think this reflects a growing trend of restricting press freedom. What surprises me is how symbolic acts like photography can be seen as threats. For me, the most important aspect is accountability citizens deserve visibility into how decisions are made. I believe limiting access weakens trust in institutions. In the end, democracy thrives on openness, and closing doors only deepens suspicion.
