According to the report, a student was expelled from Williamstown Independent Schools Friday morning for bringing a weapon onto campus. In a message to families, Superintendent John Slone reported that he was informed a student might have a gun at the school. Police were called, and the school was placed on lockdown. During the search, the weapon was found.

Slone stated there is no ongoing security threat and did not disclose which school the student attended or whether they were arrested. He also notified families that no violence occurred at the school and that the student was removed. The superintendent indicated the situation is being handled quickly and thoroughly, following district policies and in full cooperation with local authorities.

That's a very good move to remove the student immediately cause i don't understand why a student would be in procession of a gun in the first place.

It must not be the removal of the student but expelling him from the school. He might do the same criminal act next time. That kid might retaliate. Hoping the police and the school have thought about it.

The story of the student bringing a gun to school is completely false, but at least they took action quickly. A lockdown was imposed, the gun was found, and the student was removed from the school. The superintendent made sure the families were informed and said no one was injured and there is no ongoing threat. The police are now involved in the case and things are being handled according to school policies and safety is a top priority.
