Suicide Bombing Foiled at Karonga Shopping Complex; Suspects Arrested
Malawi Police Service and the Malawi Defence Force reported foiling a potential terror attack on December 26,arresting two individuals attempting to enter a crowded shopping complex in Karonga with improvised explosive devices (IEDs). The suspects, whose nationalities were not immediately disclosed, were intercepted following a tip-off from vigilant community members. Police Commissioner Merlyne Yolamu confirmed a heightened security alert across the country,
