Syria Offers To Revive 1974 Peace Deal With Israel, Eyes 1/3 Of Golan And Lebanese Territory

According to the report, Israeli special forces allegedly entered Syria’s Yaafour village near Damascus via helicopters, days after arresting an Iranian-linked cell in southern Syria. Syria expressed willingness to reimplement the 1974 disengagement deal with Israel, while demanding parts of the Golan Heights and Lebanon’s Tripoli in future settlements. Syrian President al-Sharaa opened communication with Israel but faces internal pressure. While Israel seeks peace with Syria, Syrian officials called such talk "premature" unless Israel fully withdraws from the violated buffer zones and respects prior agreements.
