According to the report, Syrian rebels have captured the strategic city of Hama in their swiftest advance in 13 years of civil war, marking a major setback for President Bashar al-Assad and his Russian and Iranian allies.

The report said that Assad’s forces retreated to avoid urban combat after intense clashes, as rebels celebrated by freeing detainees and calling on Homs' residents to rise in revolution.

The report also stated that with the insurgents now eyeing Homs, a crucial link between Damascus, northern Syria, and the coast, the stakes are higher than ever. What does this mean for Assad’s regime and the future of Syria’s conflict?

Syria is weak, the entire country can’t even handle 15,000-30,000 rebels? Unfortunately, very bad news for Putin as well. The Assad family has a lot of blood on their hands. Bashar could have made a difference, but choose not to. Even his wife, who was a beacon of hope at the beginning, is now part of the Assad "bloodline.- one viewer commented.
