Taking a break may seem lazy to some people; they believe you should always hustle without resting. However, that viewpoint is misleading. Relaxing and taking breaks can actually boost your productivity. Allowing yourself to recharge enables you to return to work feeling more energized. In contrary, if you don’t take time to rest, you risk burnout, which can lead to decreased productivity and even illness. What can you say?

I completely agree with this perspective. Taking breaks isn’t a sign of laziness; it’s actually a form of smart self-management. Our brains and bodies need downtime to process information and recover from mental fatigue. I’ve noticed that when I push myself too hard without pausing, my focus starts slipping, mistakes increase, and tasks that should take an hour end up taking much longer. On the other hand, when I take short breaks—like a quick walk, stretching, or just stepping away from the screen for a few minutes—I come back with renewed clarity and better problem-solving skills. It’s also important to disconnect entirely sometimes, especially during weekends or after long projects, to avoid burnout. Productivity isn’t about constantly being busy; it’s about working efficiently and sustainably. Resting helps maintain that balance, ensuring that both our creativity and motivation stay strong over time.

Back then i use to think taking a break made me feel lazy or i was wasting precious time, but i later came to understand that i need the break to be able to give out my best.
