According to the report, armed men have killed a teacher and abducted at least 25 students in an attack on a girls' secondary school in north-western Nigeria, police say. The gang invaded the Government Girls Comprehensive Secondary School in Maga, Kebbi State, at around 04:00 local time (0300 GMT) on Monday.

The report also stated that the attackers "engaged police personnel on duty in a gun duel before scaling the perimeter fence and seizing the students from their hostel, a statement said. One member of staff was killed while trying to protect the students. A second sustained gunshot wound, and is now receiving treatment.

The report said that those attackers are known as bandits, who arrived firing sporadically to cause panic. The police said they had deployed additional police tactical units, alongside military personnel and vigilante groups to the area.

In addition to the report, the attack in Kebbi State highlights the persistent security crisis plaguing the region, leaving families in Maga in a state of fearful exhaustion as they wait and hope for their daughters' safe return.

This story of a girls' school in Kebbi is truly heartbreaking. Teachers have lost their lives and students have been abducted. It is clear that the criminal forces have no mercy. This situation reminds us of the Greek proverb animes ton oikos. Everyone has a chance to be protected. The Maga community is now in a state of panic as they pray for the safety of their children. Guards and the military have been deployed but this suffering shows the urgency of security. Daily life has become a challenge and a compassionate heart is always necessary.

With this latest incident, there is no reason for Tinubo not to accept the challenge of US President Trump to send the US forces in Nigeria to annihilate the Boko Haram, the West Africa terror group and the bandits. I'm wondering why Tinubo failed to protect the Nigerian citizens. Boko Haram has stated in Nigeria for quite a long time, but why the Nigerian government didn't order the police the military and Navy to fight the insurgents?

Nigeria is now facing a critical situation. It's not only the Boko Haram that terrorizes people, but also bandits. Tinubo has done nothing to the insurgencies that happen in his country. His governance is a failure. US president Trump will surely get mad on this. I doubt if those 25 captives will be returned alive. Those young girls might have been raped by the evil bandits.

The security situation in Nigeria is notting to write home about to be honest. Things like this keeps happening in Northern part of Nigeria.
