Tech companies like TCS laying off employees for cost cutting.

Recently tech companies like TCS had laid of about 1200 employees, citing cost cutting. Now this is just a trick of most companies in India. Mainly these companies cheat their employees of their benefits and they do it this way. They usually keep delaying their final settlement and most of time cheat them of their dues. I think it's high time the labour offices in different districts of India start keeping an hawks eye on these company as also the government of India.

That's right. If the government and the court doesn't interfere this layoffs will continue every year.

Yes it is but what can be done when TCS may not be having work.

This is not fair, even if they are cutting off workers due to cost, they need to pay them all what they owe, and if possible give them time.

When you hear about companies laying off their workers mostly that is being culminated by specific reasons like the bankruptcy, inflation, and other problems cause by the natural disasters like floods, pandemics, hurricanes among others

This is one of the reason we should invest in ourselves and become successfully self employed. The easy way to become independent and free from hunger is through engaging in self employment.

The inflation is very high and cost of production for every business is rising. Businesses have to take measures to survive.

TCS is only doing this to cheat the retrenched employees of their dues. They also want to appoint freshers at a cheaper rate.
