Police detain 10-year-old for allegedly def!ling 3-year-old girl in Akwa Ibom


The Akwa Ibom State Police Command has detained a 10-year-old boy identified as Bright James for allegedly def!ling a three-year-old girl.

DSP Timfon John, disclosed this in a statement on Saturday, February 7, 2025 in Uyo, Nigeria following reports that James was illegally detained.

The suspect voluntarily admitted to the offence without coercion, adding that the suspect would be charged to court on Monday, February 10,

"The case is currently under investigation, and findings, including a medical report, have provided evidence of the incident. Additionally, the suspect voluntarily admitted to the offence without coercion.
