The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has threatened to penalise banks disbursing cash to naira hawkers.. it has a directed banks to prioritise cash disbursement through automated teller machines

CBN gave the directive in a circular to banks on Friday titled ‘Mystery shopping & spot checks on cash disbursement activities of deposit money banks .

The circular was signed by Solaja Olayemi, acting director, currency operations department at CBN.

The problem is would they listen? They would still do what they want to do at the end of the day. It is well though.

Well if they are proscthve ahd wants to be very active with it . Then they can achieve it

How can people be confidently hawking local currency within the same country. It is quite pathetic that this is happening.
