The Edo State Police Command has arrested Benin-based TikTok content creator, for faking her kidnap

The Edo State Police Command has arrested Benin-based TikTok content creator, Osarobo Omoyemen — popularly known as Madam Oil Rice — for allegedly staging her own kidnap just to boost her social media engagement.

The 24-year-old was picked up over the weekend and, according to police, confessed during interrogation that the entire incident was orchestrated for online attention, Leadership reported.


Police PRO, CPS Moses Yamu, released a statement warning the public against spreading false information capable of causing panic or undermining security efforts in the state.

I bet Osarobo Omoyemen is accused to providing the Nigerian authorities with false information. If convicted, Osarobo Omoyemen should be deported. Nigeria has enough lawbreakers already.
