The ethics of gene editing

These days man now has various technology that helps them alter the DNA of an individual, and as well determine what can be passed down from one generation to another. Do you think it is ethically right for man to have such power or even make use of it? Share your thoughts

I don't support gene editing. It is like trying to play God and distort the natural order of things.

I don't think there is anything wrong with gene editing. Scientists can use gene editing to modify some genetic deformities or rare diseases. What is important is what are you doing with the knowledge. It is the intent that defines what is wrong or right.

Where people get scared with gene editing is when cloning is involved. Even fishes should not be cloned.
