The Federal Government of Nigeria has declared Monday, September 16, 2024, a public holiday in observance of Eid-ul-Mawlid, the celebration of the birth of the Holy Prophet Muhammad .
The announcement was made by the Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, on behalf of the Federal Government in a statement released by Dr. Magdalene Ajani, Permanent Secretary of the ministry.
Minister Tunji-Ojo extended his congratulations to the Muslim Ummah, both within Nigeria and in the diaspora, as they mark this special occasion.
