The most famous device brands to the least known brands which is which?

For me l have seen so many people going for the most famous mobile device brands and end up paying so much compared to the correspondent devices for the least known brands that goes for cheaper prices. What do you think?

I would prefer the popular brands. They have a pedigree to protect and can easily be called out for poor quality.
