The police in Akwa Ibom state have arrested a lady identified as Christiana Ibanga, and her boyfriend, Inyene Akpan, for allegedly trafficking their child and selling the baby for N450,000

Parading the suspects alongside others at the command headquarters, Ikot-Akpanabia, Uyo, the state capital, on Wednesday, January 29, the spokesperson of the command, DSP Timfon John, said they were apprehended following a tipoff from a woman (name withheld), who alleged that Ibanga lured her six-year-old daughter and took her to an unknown destination for sale.

She was arrested along side her boyfriend. Plans on the way to rescue the sold child

They might be under the influence of drugs, No mother can afford to sell their babies if sane. It also happened here one mom sold her child but was arrested. She advertised it on Facebook, senseless mother.

I am single, no child but I have dearly my young nieces and nephews. I never let them cry because of something they do not have like toys. I always buy them toys almost daily.

It is unthinkable that it happens own child to be sold, that is insanity. Hoping that there will be no crime like that in the coming days. It doesn't mean that because they suffer financially they will resort to selling their baby,
