The Power of Pocket Money

When I was 6 years old or the first time I entered elementary school, I started to get pocket money from my parents. Apart from this, I used this pocket money as transportation costs to school as well as to buy cakes in the canteen.

Without realizing it, I had to buy toys that were relatively expensive for a child my age, and asked my parents instead to learn to save from my pocket money. Since then I started learning to save money to buy toys. Currently, after I read a lot of financial literature, it turns out that there are many benefits of pocket money or the power of pocket money, where I was not only taught to spend money wisely, but made plans to buy toys by saving. Apart from that, I also learned how to manage money. Pocket money can also make me make choices about spending money in the canteen or buying toys. The habit of managing pocket money since childhood also made me independent and more responsible when I had money. Tell me about your experience regarding pocket money?

Pocket money teaches kids financial literacy, responsibility, and independence, setting them up for long-term financial health and stability.

I got pocket money at the age of 8. I sometimes use the money to buy snacks. But I also save my pocket money to buy the children cartoon books which I like. At that age, I learned to save to get what I want.
