The price of the spices alone can kill your budget

Since last year I have stopped purchasing many of these spices. In addition, I must consider, in any way, I can't eat various of them cause a severe IBS and reflux disease. I only purchase a few tomatoes for my husband, a few garlic cloves and ginger (we need these Iatter to fight cold and 'flu symptoms).

The spices are skyrocketing and the control is ours. At home, we planted spices in our backyard and others like onions, tomatoes, and garlic are planted in big pots.

I tried to plant twice, but nothing grows in my pot. The mishap occurs because I live in a city (despite it looks like a town), so my courtyard is paved, no farmland. I tried with a purchased farmland, but it resulted useless.
Why didn't the plants grow? Maybe, the soil needs fertilizer or the water is too much. Water the plant at one-day intervals. It may rot the roots, thus nothing comes out.

It happens to be the soil that doesn't help. Finally, I have been told I would need the black soil from the countryside, but in my city is fairly impossible to obtain  .

That's incredible. Try to Goggle search. There might be sellers near your area. It's the same in New Zealand, soil there needs black soil and fertiliser from compost pit.

I had also planted some spices that I need within the little space that I have in my backyard and it is alway evergreen to produce and save me from buying spices.
Doing an innovative way can save us from the burden of the high prices of spices. Without spices , our food won't taste better.

At home we need spices. They are very important in cooking. I do not know food that does not require spices, maybe frying fish or grilling fish, chicken, or beef. But we like to eat hot and spicy food. It's a case to case though.

Mostly, suffering from a severe IBS, it's preferable to avoid certain spices, especially those resulting in hot and peppery food, as they provoke bowel inflammation.
Yeah, it is better for the individual person to consult the matter to his medic if there are spices not good for his health.

It's years I'm into frequent medical visits by a nutritionist in the clinic where my husband signed an insurance for both of us. I'm fine with this doctor.
What are your sicknesses why against some spices? Are you allergic to peppery spices or having trouble with blood pressure and blood sugar?

I suffer from a severe IBS that carries symptoms as celiac sprue. In addition, since I was born, I'm affected by GERD (reflux). In both cases, spicy food isn't recommended.
Nah, you have to avoid eating spicy food. You might experience severe complications. Though I do not understand about your sickness, but I am so sure that it is not contagious and deadly.
