The Yobe State Police Command has arrested two suspects for s3xually assaulting two minors in Jakusko and Fika Local Government Areas of the state.

The spokesperson of the command, SP Dungus Abdulkarim, who disclosed this in a statement on Tuesday, November 11, 2025 said investigation revealed that one of the suspects, Rabilu Sani is HIV positive.

The PPRO said Sani lured a 4-year-old girl into a room and s3xually assaulted her.

Abdulkarim stated that the command is deeply concerned over the recent increase in cases of Gender-Based Violence (GBV), particularly r@pe and child abuse across the state.

Maybe they should include a more drastic punishment to offenders, am sure this would prevent these crimes to some extent.
