Three British nationals among 16 killed in Lisbon crash

The British victims of the Lisbon funicular accident have been identified as theater director Kayleigh Smith and her partner Will Nelson. In a memorial to their passing, MADS Theatre in Macclesfield said on Friday night that Ms. Smith was "a dear friend to many and will be greatly missed." On Wednesday, 16 people were killed when the well-known tourist attraction, the Glória funicular, derailed and collided with a structure. According to authorities, among the dead are citizens of the US, France, Ukraine, Canada, Portugal, South Korea, and Switzerland. The identity of a third British victim is yet unknown.
