According to the news, the Philippine Navy has seen three Chinese ships in the area of Bajo de Masinloc on Monday in the West Philippine Sea. The sighting was reported by the Philippine Navy's Naval Forces Northern Luzon. Public Affairs Officer Ensign Cyrus Anthony Ramos stated that the BRP Jose Rizal observed the three Chinese vessels 57 nautical miles southwest of Bajo de Masinloc. The skipper of BRP Jose Rizal promptly issued warnings and made radio calls to the Chinese ships.
One of the specified vessels was a guided missile Jiangkai III Class Frigate named "Dali." Over the weekend, the Philippine Coast Guard’s BRP Teresa Magbanua expelled a Chinese Coast Guard ship that was 170 nautical miles inside the Philippine Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ). The Coast Guard confirmed that it will continue to monitor the movements of these Chinese vessels and will take action to ensure the intruders are pushed away from the Philippines' nearest coastline.
