A Spanish guy in Kenya released videos of himself pouring beer down an elephant's trunk, which angered many on social media and prompted several inquiries. In a wildlife refuge, he was seen consuming a can of Tusker, a well-known beer in the area, before passing the rest to the elephant. He said, "Just a tusker with a tusked friend," as the caption for a video that he uploaded to Instagram. Following criticism from Kenyans in the comments section, he removed the video from his account. The tourism and wildlife ministry issued more stringent guidelines after the event, instructing tour operators to enforce park regulations by making sure guests stay in their cars until they are in approved zones.

That situation really highlights how important it is for visitors to respect wildlife and follow rules in protected areas. What might seem like harmless fun to some can actually harm animals or encourage bad behavior. It’s good that the authorities stepped in with clearer guidelines tourists and operators need to work together to protect these animals and ensure their safety. Education and awareness are key to preventing incidents like this in the future.

Two thoughts here.... (1) What an idiot, and (2) At least it wasn't an American who did it. :o :o :o

Glad the ministry stepped in with stricter rules. Tour operators shouldn’t have to be told, but obviously some guests need firm boundaries. Staying in the car exists for a reason, safety for both humans and wildlife.
