Do you keep a daily or weekly tracking, to know what you need to spend your money on? And if so, do you keep part of it in reserve for emergency situations that may come up?

I tried to monitor my daily expenses. I even utilised a software for that as well. However, it was so hard to monitor my daily expenses. So, i just abandoned monitoring my daily expenses. I think that you should be consistent enough if you truly want to monitor your daily expenses and remember things properly. Now many people use apps to calculate their daily expenses.

I do list and buy only what is essential. I also buy in bulk. I always check my cash if retain some cash at home. I always do the checking of the list already bought, mostly on food.
