Okay, so they're expecting some traffic problems because of the Sainte Dévote celebrations. Honestly, the thing I'm most concerned about is just getting around—the logistics of it all. I get that it's got to happen, but it's still a pain when your normal routes are messed up. It's kind of surprising how many roads they're actually closing for this event. I think the biggest thing they need to do is keep everyone in the loop and make sure people know exactly what roads will be closed, when they will do it, and where the detours are. If they do a good job of planning and telling everyone what's up ahead of time, then things should go off without too many problems, and everyone can enjoy the celebrations. I mean, a little bit of planning goes a long way to make sure everyone has a good time and doesn't get too stressed out by the traffic. Knowing what to expect is half the battle, right? It would be great if they used signs, social media, and maybe even had people out directing traffic to really hammer the message home. Then even those who don't usually pay attention will have a better idea of what's going on. It all comes down to good, clear communication, that's what I think. Because when people are prepared, they're way less likely to get annoyed by the delays. They might even plan a different activity, or explore one of the many other cool parts of town that remain open during the occasion.
