According to the report, US President Donald Trump on 7 April offered to mediate between Israel and Turkey amid growing tensions over Syria. Speaking alongside Israeli PM Netanyahu at the White House, Trump said he had a "very good relationship" with Turkish President Erdogan and believed he could "work it out". He also congratulated Erdogan on "taking over Syria" through surrogates. Netanyahu backed Trump as a mediator and warned against Syria being used by Turkey as a base for attacks on Israel. Trump told Netanyahu to be "reasonable" in any dispute with Turkey. Reports say Netanyahu has urged the US to block F-35 sales to Turkey.
Meanwhile, Israel bombed Syrian bases before Turkey could deploy its air defense systems. Turkey and Israel are reportedly discussing a deconfliction line in Syria to avoid clashes.
Israel has many enemies this time. Syria is now occupied by Turkey so most probably, Erdogan will become high and mighty. He was ousted by the people in Turkey, he was not moved by that protest.
