According to Gustavo Gonzalez, the Philippines' UN executive, the country must be ready for the "big one." The Philippines is incredibly at risk of natural hazards like earthquakes and super typhoons. Sadly, they are aggravated by the effects of climate change. Gonzalez noted that the UN is working closely with the country's authorities to enhance preparedness for a vast array of potential disasters.
